The Swiss couple want to travel across the world's oceans and climb the highest mountain on every continent to promote Earthfriendly ways of life.

Brian Snow, who is a Canadian, had a special Christmas. He gave up hours of holiday fun with his family to help 75 trapped strangers.
High winds changed an airline on Dec. 25, a flight intended for St. John's, Newfoundland. And the passengers finally arrived in as far as Deer Lake on the other side of the island province.
Local resident Brian Snow was friends with one of the passengers. And he realized that due to the national holiday, all the restaurants and shops in town were closed. On top of that, the hotel where almost 80 people had been dropped off had no restaurant. Mr Snow posted a call to action on social media:“Let's show the true Christmas spirit.”
Within an hour, the Facebook post was shared 60 times and the community had voluntarily organized a delightful meal in the hotel lobby. Residents brought sandwiches, their own turkey dinner leftovers, freshly baked bread, and, of course, lots of cookies and desserts.
However, the kindness from the Deer Lake community didn't end at the dinner table. Dave Power, a passenger who was flying with his wife to be with family in St. John's, said, “When we finished eating, my wife and I got our bags and came out to the front of the hotel to find a long line of cars.” Thanks to them, each passenger came back to the airport smoothly. “It was truly a ‘Come from Away Christmas’,” said Dave's brother Robert Power on Facebook.
This selfless devotion reminds us of a quite analogous story that happened in 2001, when townspeople came together to welcome thousands of passengers on planes because of the Sept. 11 attacks in the US. The Tony Awardwinning musical Come From Away got inspiration from the kindness of these people. It details the efforts of community members who took care of the thousands of travellers for several days.

34.What does the underlined word “analogous” in the last paragraph mean?
A.Strange. B.Terrible.
C.Funny. D.Similar.
35.What does the author want to express by mentioning the story happening in 2001?

Several years ago, I was living in New York and working for an airline, so I never got back home for Christmas. My Christmas was happy too with some other colleagues around. But in my heart, I was sad because I couldn't stay with my family.Sometimes my colleagues would say our Christmas was filled with tears. But this Christmas was different.I was lucky.I had the whole day off, which meant I could stay with my family on Christmas Eve.
When Christmas morning came, I awoke to a small hand rubbing my face.“Dad.Merry Christmas!” was all my younger son had time to say.He seemed to be racing against time.I knew he was hunting for gifts with his brother eagerly.I got downstairs just to see the two little boys' faces as they looked at the pocket rockets Santa Claus had left them.I realized that the real Christmas was for the children who had deep belief in the amazing power of Santa Claus. At first, their fingers went almost shyly over their toys. When their inspection (检查) had been completed, the two boys ensured that the gifts were really delivered by Santa Claus and they dragged everything into the center of the living room.
Delight flooded the room.As their mother began giving out gins, I smiled to myself, wondering how my unexpected gifts this year would be received. With so many Christmas spent outside, I had prepared so many gifts for my children and together with my wife I hid them in several secret places. But the children were excellent detectives and they found all of them. They were happily opening packages constantly thanking considerate Santa Claus for his kindness and ability to know their desires. But I had not received a single one.I knew they had forgotten my existence with my absence from their Christmas these years.
