| | Step 2 Presentation & Writing
| | - In activity 3b, Ss are asked to write an invitation. This would be a good opportunity to talk with Ss about the options for inviting people to a party and for writing an invitation. T may want to conduct the following class poll in this regard.

- 在Please reply in writing to this invitation by Friday, December 20th.这句话中,介词by意为“截止至……;到……为止”。介词before也有“……之前”的意思。但区别于before不包含其后的时间,而by则包括。
| | - Step 4 Summary & Homework
|
| - Do the exercises from PPT P26-P28.
- Write an invitation to your birthday party .
- Do the exercises in students’ book.
| | Teaching Reflection
| In the last period, the students read the passage in 3a aloud and actively take part in the activities about questions and answers. The students read the calendar in Activity 4 with partners to find the time to go shopping together. The students are free to ask and answer questions, which really reflects the use in learning. However, some students can't complete task-based reading independently, so they should do more exercises after class. Besides, writing is the most important in this period. We can help the students write according to oral practice. The useful words and phrases are given to them.
