I. Preparation 准备	课前3分钟检查单词预习情况，教师根据学生读的状况，适当领读，帮助学生正音。 1. Free talk “自由交际” Ask and answer in pairs: (1) A: Have you read Robinson Crusoe? B: Yes , I have . / No, I haven’t .   A: What’s it like ?    B: It’s interesting . . (2) A: Has Tina read Tom Sawyer? B: Yes , she has .She thinks it’s fantastic. A: What’s it about ? B: It’s a story about a boy who lives in the United States . 2. Revision “复习检查” 通过检查“学案”中“新知预习”内容检查预习效果， 通过检查上节课布置的作业落实作业完成情况，进而为新课的导入铺路搭桥。
II.Presentation 呈现	1. Learning tasks“示标定向” (1) 学习并掌握下列单词： pop , rock , band , (2) 学习并掌握下列常用表达： Listen to , start doing , ,be from , full of energy , wake sb. up , make sb. adj. 3. 学习并掌握下列句型：         1) They only started singing earlier this year. 2) There are five people in the band and they are all teenager boys .. 3) I am listening to a band called “The Toms ” . 4) They are from California, in the United States . 5) The Toms’ play pop music . 6) Listening to The Toms is a good way to wake up . 2. Leading-in“导入新课” (1)Present a conversation according to some pictures: A: Do you like Da Zhangwei ? B: Yes , we do . A: Have you heard his songs? B: Yes , we have.The songs make me feel exited . A: The songs must be popular. (2)  Present a conversation according to some pictures: A: Who is your favorite singer  ? B: Wangfei . A: Have you heard her songs? B: Yes , we have.The songs make me feel exited . A: The songs must be popular.
III.Practice 操练	1. 机械操练 (Mechanical Drills) Learn to talk about singers and band according to some pictures: A: Who is your favorite singer  ? B: Wangfei . A: Have you heard her songs? B: Yes , we have.The songs make me feel exited . A: The songs must be popular. ( FengHuang chuanqi ; Da Yige; Meishengsiji ...) Ask and answer in pairs. 2. 有意义操练 (Meaningful Drills)    1a A: Do you like Ge Xiaohu ? B: Yes , we do . A: Have you heard his songs? B: Yes , we have.The songs make me feel exited . A: The songs must be popular. Ss:(Discuss in pairs and then share their ideas.) 3. 交际性操练 (Communicative Drills) T: Suppose you are a fan of The Toms .You know more about it .Read the information about 1b and Listen to a conversation between Alex and Dave .     Ss:(Try to read the information carefully and know more about the listening .)
IV.Consolidation 巩固	1. Listening practice: (1)Activity 1b: Listen to a conversation between Alex and Dave . Share the answers. (2)Activity 1c: Listen again and take notes . Share the answers. (3)Read the tapescripts three times. 2. Role-play the conversation between Alex and Dave . 3. 1d: Ask your friends and parents what kind of music they listen to and why .
