I.温习旧知	1.Have a dictation:hold my hand, on one’s way to, start doing sth., walk up to, staff, pass by, be busy doing sth., at that time, a little earlier, get a table 2.Practice 3a in pairs.
II.兴趣导入	Translate these sentences: I wonder where we should go next. Do you know where we can get some good delicious food quickly? Let’s ask what time the band starts playing. Could you tell us when the band starts playing this evening?
III.感受新知	Read Grammar Focus by themselves. 2.Let students translate the sentences.
IV.梳理巩固	1.Rewrite the questions in 4a to make them more polite. ① Where can I buy some grapes or other fruit? ② How does this CD player work? ③ How do I get to the Central Library? ④ Is the Italian restaurant nearby open on Mondays? Get students write down their answers in their books. What should each person ask in the following situations? Let students write down their answers and them say their answers one by one. 3.Ask students to write four questions that a tourist might ask about your city/ town. Then role-play conversations with your partner.
V.拓展探究	问路时应注意 ① 问路时应首先说一声：“Excuse me.” ② 没听清时，说一声“Eme, would you please say it again?” 或“I beg your pardon?” ③ 问完路后，说句“Thank you for helping me.” 或“Thank you.” ④ “向左(右)拐”即tut (right)或turn to the left (right)。表示 “在左(右)边”，英语用介词on或at均可。 2.用英语问路及其回答 ①Excuse me, can you tell me where the railway station is?   ②Excuse me, but can you tell me the way to the train station? ③Excuse mld you tell me which is the way to the nearest hospital? ④Excuse me, would you please show me the way to the post office? ⑤ Excuse me, would you mind telling me the way to the police station? ⑥Excuse me, how can I get to No. 1 Middle School?   ⑦Excuse me, is this the right way to the People’s Park? ⑧Excuse me. Could you tell me if there is a Gu Yang Middle School near here? ⑨ Excuse me. Do you know how I can get to Gu Yang Middle School? = Excuse me. Do you know how to get to Gu Yang Middle School? 3.指路的方法 ① Take along with this street, and … is on you left. ②Go down thisand turn left at the first crossing, and you’ll find … Is right there, on your left. ③… is behind (near, next to, on the left of) … ④ You can just O.111 bus, and get off at the second station. And you’ll see it. ⑤ Look! … is in front of us far away, right there!
