| Step 1 Pre-writing
| 此部分作为引入环节，让学生回忆比赛中发生过的不愉快的事情方便引入主题，并通过此问题激发学生的兴趣。
Predict是中考中需要掌握的一个阅读技巧，通过对文本预测，启发学生回忆起之前所学知识。
| Review
- T ask Ss to share expressions about feelings
(T can divide the adjectives into two parts, positive and negative. Ask Ss to share positive words first and then negative ones. T gives examples to show what positive means and what negative means. Ss write them down in Self Check 1 (PPT P16-P17). While Ss are sharing, T needs to write the words down on the blackboard to help Ss to review.)
- T asks Ss to answer the questions on PPT P5.
Q1: What makes you happy or sad?
(Before answering, T leads Ss to review the four phrases by pictures. T must make sure Ss can read correctly. Then T can ask Ss to give their own answers.)

- T asks Ss to share some unforgettable experiences with their partners.
(T gives Ss some related phrases or topic sentences to recall their memories. T can also share his or her own experiences to Ss first to set a good example. T can also ask girls to share unhappy experiences and boys to share happy experiences. Before Ss share their experiences, T must give rules:1. Past tense. 2. The right sentence structure. 3. Share logically.)

- Ask Ss to write a story similar to the one in 2b according the questions.

Q4: How did it make you feel? Why?
Q5: What did you learn from the experience?
(T tells Ss the key point in each question. For example, in question one to three, Ss must use past tense and the first person. They also need to use proper linking words or conjunctions to share the experience logically. In question four, when Ss are writing, details should be paid attention to. Ss can also use an idiom to share their feelings or what they learn from the experience.)

(Ss can correct one piece of wring together in groups and hand in the rest pieces of writing to T. When Ss are correcting, T walk around to give guidance and make sure they can correct well.)
- T tells Ss the structure and rubrics of writing and make a summary.
(T ask Ss to pay attention to four details like: frame and content, rich language, correct grammar, good handwriting. T can also give Ss rubrics in high school entrance English exam. T can also show Ss a sample to explain the full-mark writing.)

| The writing in this class is difficult, the problems are as follows. First, I need to give Ss more help when they correct each other’s writings. I gave too much time on reviewing the text, so Ss didn’t have enough time to write. The best part today was that I gave Ss rubrics and sentence patterns ahead so some A-level Ss can write logically.
