| Step 1 Lead-in
| | - Divide students into several groups. Ask each group to find out all the sentences using the past perfect tense from 1a to 3c.
| | Step 2 Presentation &Grammar
| 学习Grammar Focus这个过程中，教师可采用任务型教学和小组合作法，使学生在讲授、启发的基础上，让学生通过小组合作完成学习任务，达到教学目标，同时培养学生的合作意识和创新精神。
| - ① Read aloud the sentences in the grammar frame. Find out the sentences in simple past tense and the past perfect tense.
- ② Compare the above two past tenses.
- ③ The teacher gives more sentences as examples.Get the students to sum up and learn the past perfect tenses. Remind the students of the verbs and the order of the two actions.
- Ask students to make sentences using by the time or before.
- Students make full sentences on their own, the teacher reminds them of the tenses. Get students to check their answers in pairs.

- Ask students to fill in the blanks with the correct forms of the words in the box.
- First, ask students to write the past participle form for each word and phrase in the box of 4b. Then, ask them to fill in the blanks using the correct words or phrases.

- ① Show the half sentences and ask different students to say their sentences. Make as many sentences as they can.
