believe in为固定短语，意为“相信；信任”。
例句：I believe in his good character.我相信他品格高尚。

believe in

表示信任某人，相信某人的价值，也可指“信仰、信奉（真理、宗教等）”，后常接名词、代词作宾语。

Some people believe in God. 有些人信奉上帝。

believe

表示相信某人所说的话，与这个人的品质无关，后接名词、代词或从句。

I believe what you said.
我相信你说的话。

2. accept
accept作动词，意为“接受”，其反义词为refuse。
辨析：accept与receive

accept	意为“接受”，通常指主观上愿意接受。	I have accepted his invitation to the party. 我已经接受了邀请，去参加他的派对。
receive	意为“收到”，指客观上收到或拿到，但主观上不一定会接受	I received many gifts at my birthday party. 我在生日聚会上收到了许多礼物。
