一、写作布局
英文电子邮件和书信的写法大致相同，但略有差异。一般说来英文电子邮件包括以下五个部分：
1．标题栏
一般写在左上角，包括发件人姓名、邮箱地址、发件日期、收件人姓名、邮箱地址以及邮件主题。
排列格式为：
FROM：发件人姓名、邮箱地址
DATE：发件日期
TO：收件人姓名、邮箱地址
SUBJECT：简明扼要地介绍信的内容。通常是单词、短语，偶尔用句子。
2．称呼
位于正文的开头。如何称呼，要看发件人与收件人的关系而定。若是同学、朋友，可以直呼其名；若是长辈或上级，要在姓氏前加上Mr.，Miss，Mrs.，Dr.，Professor等表示称谓的词。
3．正文
正文要简洁明了。简单问候之后，就要开门见山地说明写信的目的。这部分内容的写作相对自由，但对于电子邮件的回复，需紧扣“回复”这一字眼，要“问有所答，疑有所解”。在高考中，要按照试题要求的内容来写，最重要的是表达要清楚、有条理，语言要准确、流畅。
4．信尾客套话
结尾的客套话通常很简洁，如Yours，Thanks等，一般写在左下角。
5．签名
一般写在左下角，有时也写在右下角。
二、写作句式
（一）开头语
1. How are you doing? 近况如何?
2. How are things going on? 近况如何?
3. How are you getting on with your study? 你学习如何?
4. As I have not heard from you for long, I feel anxious.很久没有你的音讯了，我甚是担忧。
5. I must apologize for not having written to you earlier. 以前没有写信，我深表歉意。
6. Please pardon my not replying to your letter earlier. 没能及时回信，还请见谅。
7. I feel very sorry for not being able to reply to your last letter. 没能及时回信我深感抱歉。
（二）引入话题
1. I’m writing to invite you to the art exhibition on Sunday.我写此信是要邀请你参加周日的艺术展。
2. I’m writing to inform you that the basketball match is delayed until next week.我写此信是要告诉你，篮球赛被推迟到下周了。
3. I’m writing to tell you something about my recent life.我写此信是要告诉你我最近的生活。
4. I’ m writing to introduce my friend David to you. 我写此信意在向你介绍我的朋友戴维。
5. The exhibition starts at 7: 00 am until 6: 00 pm on Sunday. 展览从星期日7点开始，一直持续到下午6点。
6. Here, I’d like to offer you some tips. 这里我想就此给你一些建议。
（三）结束语
1. Looking forward to hearing from you soon. 盼望早日收到你的来信。
2. Please give my regards to your family. 请代我向你的家人问好。
3. Hope you will have a pleasant trip! 祝你旅途愉快!
4. Wish you a pleasant journey! 祝你旅途偷快!
5. I wish you a Happy New Year! 祝你新年快乐!
6. Best wishes! 祝好!
三、写作步骤
第一步：审题定调
拿到一篇书面表达，仔细阅读题目要求，确定书面表达体裁、时态、人称，简称“审题三要素”。
第二步：布局段落
按照“三段式”结构，第一段一般三句话：客套问候+引入话题+巧妙过渡。第二段按照题目要求，逐一展开要点，注意运用“一二三”原则，把事情时间、地点、内容、要求、感受交代清楚。同时为了提高句子表达力，还应注意简单句、并列句及复合句交替运用。第三段再次照应主题，附带客套句，希望对方及时回复或接受邀请、道歉等。
第三步：润色定稿
在初稿的基础上适当考虑使用高级词汇和复杂句式，提升文章的档次；同时注意语句逻辑通顺、前后连贯，契合题目的要求，兼顾书写、标点、拼写和语法等细节。
四、写作示范
假如你是李华，你的美国朋友Jack写信告诉你他不知道如何与朋友相处，请你给他回信提供建议。内容包括：
1.写信目的；
2.提供建议；
3.表达祝愿。
注意:1.词数80左右;
2.可以适当增加细节，以使行文连贯。
Dear Jack,
You have asked for my advice about how to get along with friends. It is my pleasure to share with you my suggestions as follows.
①First, when your friends are upset, you can calm them down and try to help them solve problems. What’s more, you should be concerned about your friends rather than ignore them. ②Last but not least, when your friends disagree with you, it will be a good idea to communicate with them face to face. When they help you, you should be grateful to them.
